We had 26 players come out for our August event.
Congratulations goes out to Jon Barrera for winning August’s event. Lori Harmon came in second and Alex Gem third. All three decided to chop the prize pool and give the winning rank according to chip stack. All three donated $20 back to charity. Thanks for the donation and ending the tournament fairly early.
Dave Romine was fourth and Chris Gibbs was fifth. All five automatically qualified for the Championship event in January.
Dave and Gay Romine donated four bottles of wine to be given away. We added that to the 50/50 drawings. Fred Martini won $160 and a bottle of wine from the 50/50 drawing. We had additional gift cards and wine given away. We also gave awya 4-$25 gift cards for door prizes.
We had three high hands. Chris Gibbs had quad queens, John Heathcote had quad eights and I had quad sixes. We won a $25 gift card.
Our next tournament is October 3rd. We will continue to have a first break add-on for $20, for another 5,000 chips.
During the first hour of play, if a player has 5,000 chips or less, they can donate $20 to charity and receive 5,000 chips. But you must have chips, to take advantage of this. If you bust out the first hour, you must rebuy for $50, for 10,000 chips to continue.
We will also have additional door prizes that will be given away.
Thanks for your continued support.
Every regular event will have a first break add-on for $20 and you will receive 5,000 chips. Every event will also allow a player to re-buy during the first hour for $50 to receive 10,000 chips. Remember, you must have at least one chip to qualify for the $20 first break add-on. However, if you want to forfeit your chips at the end of the first hour, you may do so and re-enter for $50 and 10,000 chips. You may then do an add-on for another $20 and 5,000 chips.
2026 Events: February 07, April 04, June 06, (dinner buffet included), August 01, October 03 and December 5th. The Tournament of Champions event will be Saturday, January 09th, 2027.
